Admission Standards & Testing Policies
The Lion of Judah Academy believes every family should have an equal opportunity to join our school community. If the number of applicants exceeds available spots, a lottery system is used to ensure fairness and transparency. Numbers are randomly assigned and drawn by an independent third party. Students who are not immediately placed will be added to a waiting list, retaining their order for the following academic year.
Testing is an important part of our commitment to academic excellence. Every new student undergoes a diagnostic test to determine the most appropriate grade-level placement. We carefully consider the student's age, previous educational history, and testing performance. Our goal is not simply to advance students based on age, but to place them where they will thrive.
When more students apply than available seats, The Lion of Judah Academy ensures a fair and transparent admission process by implementing a randomized lottery. Here's how it works:

Each applicant is assigned a unique number.

A disinterested third party will randomly draw the numbers.

The first number drawn will be the first new applicant added to the waiting list.

All applicants will continue to be listed in order of their drawn number.

Applicants already on the waiting list retain their position for up to one year.

The school may organize separate lotteries and lists by grade or age level.

Students who attended LJA the previous year are given priority for re-enrollment, provided proper paperwork is submitted on time.

Students who have been previously home-schooled and are enrolling at LJA will take a diagnostic test to determine their appropriate academic placement. While we consider a student’s age, our primary focus is their academic readiness. LJA upholds high academic standards and does not engage in social promotion, ensuring every student is placed where they can grow and thrive.

Required documents include transcripts, immunization records, and any applicable learning assessments. We are committed to understanding and supporting every student's background.
Each prospective student will participate in a diagnostic assessment to ensure they are placed in an environment that challenges and nurtures them appropriately.
Our admissions team prayerfully reviews each application and communicates decisions within two to three weeks after assessment.
Once accepted, you and your child will attend our family orientation where you’ll meet the staff, tour the facilities, and get fully equipped for an exciting first day at LJA.
